Getting started
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
Coaching is a good fit if you’re ready to grow, make a decision or change something in your life, and you’d like someone in your corner while you do it. If you’re not sure, the free discovery call is the place to find out together.
What happens on the discovery call?
It’s a relaxed, free phone call. We talk about where you are, what you’d like to change and how coaching works, so you can decide whether it’s right for you. There’s no commitment to continue.
Is coaching the same as counseling?
No. Coaching looks forward and focuses on goals, practical steps and accountability. Counseling is provided by licensed professionals and often focuses on healing and mental health concerns. Coaching works alongside professional care, not instead of it. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
How much does coaching cost?
There are no set packages. Every situation is different, so we talk about investment on your discovery call, once I understand what you’re looking for.
The coaching experience
What happens during a coaching session?
We talk about what’s happening in your life, look at your goals and decide on practical next steps. Sessions are honest and judgment-free, and they follow what matters most to you.
How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Sessions run between an hour and an hour and a half. How long we work together and how often we meet depend on your goals, and we’ll find a good rhythm for you on the discovery call.
What topics can we work on?
I coach in four main areas: relationships, personal development, finances, and mindset and personal resilience. Within those, you set the agenda.
Faith & beliefs
Do I need to be a Christian to work with you?
No. My coaching is Christian-rooted, and faith and biblical principles are part of it whenever you choose. If you’d rather keep faith out of our sessions, you’ll get the same practical, respectful coaching.
How is faith brought into coaching?
Only as much as you want. That might mean Scripture, prayer or biblical wisdom applied to a real decision, or it might mean none of those. You decide.
Formats
Do you offer virtual coaching?
Yes. Virtual coaching is open to you wherever you live, and in-person sessions are available across Greater Houston.
Where do in-person sessions happen?
I’m based in Houston, TX and coach in person across Greater Houston. We’ll arrange the details once you’ve booked.
Couples
Can I take part without my partner?
Yes. Couples coaching can happen together or one at a time, so you can start even if your partner isn’t ready yet.
Do you take sides?
When I first heard this question, I thought it was a strange one. The more I spoke with couples, the more I understood why it comes up. Honestly, it usually comes from the partner who lacks accountability the most. I don’t say that to offend; it’s transparency. There’s no bias when you coach with wisdom. Both of you are heard, and we look for a way forward together.
Groups
How can I learn about upcoming groups?
Book a free discovery call or send me a message, and I’ll share what groups are coming up and whether one is a good fit.
Do I have to share personal things in a group?
You share as much as you’re comfortable with. Everyone brings their own goals, and the group is a place of encouragement.
